jenny lathrop’s moc memorial video
I created this 5 minute movie about my life for a class project. The assignment was to make a memorial video on my own life as if i were dying next week. woah!! that's just what i did. And it was a happy thing for me to do.. I did not feel like it was morbid like so many people's reactions.

I thought that your video was unique in that it was neither mournful or poking fun at death. Instead, it has more of an accepting and peaceful tone. You did a really nice job of giving the viewer insight into your life and what you love through various techniques. I also liked your approach of using the sticky note at the end of the video to have the last word.

I enjoyed seeing pictures of you when you were little because most people left these out. I liked your use of nature in the video, and excellent choice of song!

The skiing clip was very effective in showing that life doesn’t alway have to be all about our achievments.Your video suggeested that it is perhaps our failures that help mold us into the people we are today.Good job!

Hey Jenny!
I absolutely love your video! I think it is so courageous and brave to film yourself and it really adds to the intimacy of the video and enables the viewer to know you in a more personal way.I also loved the typing narrative throughout the video; I think that really enhanced the viewers understanding of the images. It is obvious from your movie that you have had some tremendous experiences and that you are loved! Your video made me so happy because you are a happy person! thanks for sharing!

This video is very memorial like in style and also ghostly in a way. The cursor that moves across the page makes it feel like some being or something that is left of you still remains. It is heart warming and melancholy at the same time.

I had a very strong response to your video. I felt a little self conscious watching you taping yourself. It was like there was nothing fake or staged about you and for me it is intense to see someone be completely themselves without dressing up or trying to portray a specific image of themselves.
